I’ve a particular interest in private cloud technologies, although I have exposure to public cloud and do appreciate it’s use cases, I’ve consistently seen organisations struggle with spending spawl who have subsequently come to me for advise. I’ve spent considerable years consulting with these sorts of companies, being a voice of sanity when planning where services are best placed in hyperscalers and when they are not. This blog in part is about what is on offer for “cloud-like” infrastructure, for example with VMware Cloud Foundation and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.

I have been lucky enough in the decades spent in the industry gaining deep understanding across many technology areas, with specific interest in Virtualisation, Kubernetes, Storage, Networking and Application Delivery.
